The initiative — the spine
What are we changing, is it worth it, and is it done?
Every change is one initiative from idea to proven result. It is the spine of the stream: the decision sits on it, the delivery — a project, a quick project or a single task — runs inside it, and the results are read on it. Money and outcomes stay on the initiative; a project never holds the saving.
Idea
The change is shaped until someone can decide on it.
- What happens
- What — the change, who owns it, where it applies, which goal and target it serves
- Today — each site's people, desks, area, cost and next contract date, measured live
- Worth — recurring savings and costs, one-off costs and capex; outcomes it should move, each with a baseline
- Reviewers asked for their view; the advisor ✦ says what is missing and whether it holds up
- The delivery plan proposed: just act, a quick project or a full project
- Who
- The owner, with reviewers they ask in
- Moves on when
- It is sent for decision to a named decision-maker
- In the numbers
- Identified
- Where in Workplacer
- Initiative → Idea (what · today · worth · decision)
The advisor ✦Advice that knows where it stands
Before the decision it advises whether and how; in delivery it watches the plan; once in effect it says confirm, keep measuring or correct course; once proven it suggests repeating it elsewhere.
